Two-Day Tour - American Sites
La Cambe - Ste Mere Eglise - Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc - Omaha Beach - American Cemetery etc
Usually running from 8.30am to 5.30pm or 9.00am to 6.00pm over two days. If you would like a more relaxed pace with time for more leisurely visits, perhaps tasting some Normandy cider in a farm and visiting more DDay sites then you can select a two day tour. The tour would run as an extended version of my Full Day Tour.
Please look at the itinerary of my Full Day Tour.
Over two days we would see all the places on the Full Day Tour plus some other sites within the American sector. On a two-day tour I generally discuss your requirements in more detail via e-mails. As my business name states it is DDay 4 You. We will create the perfect itinerary for your specific needs. Possible places to visit include:
La Fiere - the bridge and causeway fought over by the 82nd Airborne.
Azeville Battery - an amazing restored German gun position, where my cousin is the Mayor!
Brecourt Manor - a look at the memorial to the famous action depicted in Band of Brothers where elements of E/506th knocked out 4 German 105mm guns.
Angoville-au-Plain - the church where two American medics saved over 80 lives. Subject of the book Angels of Mercy by my partner Paul Woodadge.
Sainte Marie du Mont - a walk around the church and square in the center of the 101st Airborne drop zones.
Longues sur Mer - a 4 gun German battery in-between Gold and Omaha Beaches.
Extra time at the American Cemetery to walk through the visitors' center.
Arromanches - a visit to the town on Gold Beach where one of the two Mulberry Harbors was built.
Cider Tasting - near Omaha Beach there is a great place I can take you to where you can taste cider and calvados - and enjoy a break from DDay.
Bayeux Tapestry - we can include time for you to visit the museum in Bayeux about the Norman Conquest of England in 1066.
La Cambe - Ste Mere Eglise - Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc - Omaha Beach - American Cemetery etc
